The Phoenix solution was defined by TIP's Open Optical and Packet Transport (OOPT) project group. This operator-driven initiative focuses on developing open technologies, architectures, and interfaces in the optical and IP networking domain, representing a significant step forward in network infrastructure innovation. Pegatron’s Endeavor (MPND400-2) muxponder, now TIP-certified, supports 400G open optical DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) transmission and is designed to meet the demands of high-capacity, multi-vendor backbone network environments. The hardware’s certification as part of NEC’s Phoenix Solution underscores the growing strength of the open optical ecosystem and highlights the collaborative efforts of industry leaders to deliver reliable and flexible network infrastructure.
